About ACCET

Founded in 1974, the Accrediting Council for Continuing Education & Training (ACCET) has been continuously recognized by the U.S. Department of Education as a reliable authority on educational quality since 1978.  ACCET strives to identify, evaluate, and enhance the delivery of continuing education and training through an independent peer-evaluation process.   With a global reach, ACCET’s expansive scope is designed to support a diverse array of non-traditional post-secondary educational providers, including:

ACCET Nominating Commissioners 2018

TO:  Primary Contacts, ACCET Member Institutions         ACCET Commissioners         ACCET Staff FROM:  Dr. Bill Larkin, ACCET Executive Director SUBJ:  Nomination Process for Institutional Commissioner Openings Dear Colleagues, We will be electing two Institutional Commissioners by way of nomination and election at the annual conference in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho this November.  Our by-laws call for the establishment of a Nominating Committee to consider recommendations forwarded by the membership.  This Committee is being appointed by Peggy Tiderman, our commission Chair, and will begin to review candidates prior to and at the August 2018 Commission meeting. Accordingly, you are encouraged to recommend possible nominees for consideration by the Nominating Committee via email to me (wvlarkin@accet.org) and these suggestions must reach me by Friday June 15, 2018  Self-nominations are also in order.  A brief biographical sketch or resume of the candidate would be helpful as would your personal comments on the nominee. The Nominating Committee will follow up on all suggestions prior to nominating candidates to stand for election at the annual conference. I thank you in advance for your participation in this process.
